KEEPING THE GAME SAFE, FAIR AND FUN!

Learn about how to become an on-ice official, how to improve your skills, and find resources for new and seasoned officials.

HOW TO BECOME AN ON-ICE OFFICIAL:
1) You must be 14 years old on or before December 31st of the current calendar year.

2) If you are over 18 years of age, you will need to have a Vulnerable Sector Check completed through the Hamilton Police Services:  ​​https://hamiltonpolice.on.ca/how-to/obtain-criminal-records-check/vulnerable-sector-check

3) All officials must complete the certification test through an OHF partner association (Alliance, OMHA or OWHA) and attend the corresponding clinic.

4) All new officials must attend an on-ice session where senior officials will review positioning, signals, and procedures.
